One major problem that comes from mounting any of the
Heath 19 inch wide, 10.5 inch high, equipment is the
fact that the holes do NOT match the normal rack
configuration. You will have to drill, then "tap" new
holes for the #10-32 machine screws that are used to
hold the rack panel in place.
Also, you will have to put in a shelf to hold the
weight of the DX-100B. The front panel is made from
aluminum and cannot bear any real weight.
You will need to make a complete "cage" out of
something like perforated aluminum to shield the
transmitter. This includes top, bottom, both sides,
and the back.
Now, you have to decide if removing the transmitter
from its desk-top cabinet is really worth the effort.

Thinking of mounting my DX-100B in a 19" rack to match
some other heavy metal. To fit it will have to be
removed from its metal case. Anyone had any problems
running a 100B out of its metal case eg. RFI/TVI etc?
I plan to use metal covers on the sides of the rack,
and ground the whole thing including each item.
