Thanks everyone for the help on the Driver/Preselector
shaft pulleys. They are now
soldered. Next question: the LMO shaft feels like the bearings are dirty (or shot). I
have the panel off. The roughness is definitely felt in the shaft extending out of the
LMO. I've never seen anything on the internals of the SB-102 LMO. I am preparing
myself for the dive into that thing. Anything I should be aware of like {quot}rare element
smokium inside{quot} or {quot}forget linearity now{quot} or {quot}watch out for shooting springs{quot}? I have
very little fear (and not much to lose) so I'm going in there tonight unless I don't finish
my wife's honey-do list. I watched someone do an R390-A PTO once so how bad
could it be?
Thanks,
