[Heathkit] unbuilt kits

Hi Guys,

I know this fellow. I'm sure that some of you have seen his around
the midwest hamfests.
His hat says "worlds largest Heathkit collector". I can't remember his
name, but he owns
Jerry's CB in Toledo. He's had this stuff for years in a warehouse, in no
particular order and has
been saying that " I'm going to sort this stuff so I can sell it" for the
12 to 15 years that I've known him.
I've wanted to get there several times over the years to get parts, which
he says that he has, but he won't let
anybody come and look because the stuff is still on the pallets, still
shrink-wrapped, that it came from Heath on.
He got this stuff when Heath closed all their stores and salvaged out all
the stuff in the stores. He got the contents
of the Detroit store on Eight Mile road, the Toledo Store and the Cleveland
store, so he says. There is another
fellow in Benton Harbor that did the same thing. He's got a giant pile of
parts that he's sitting on, doesn't have
cataloged and won't take any calls on or let any body look at. No kits
though. I had a fellow here in Grand
Rapids that bought all their vacuum tubes and a giant pile of parts, all on
skids that had 4 foot square cardboard
boxes that all the stuff was tossed in at Heath. He never sorted it out
and cataloged it either. I think that most
of his stuff went to the dump when he went out of business.

Thanks!!
