Doesnt  make any difference as to the brand or country, if not lined up they
sag. Early ARRL Handbooks mentioned it back in the 40's.
The problem with the early imports is that they paid no attention to getting
ANY alignment between the glass envelope and the base. They came thru at any
angle up to about 45 degrees off.
