[Heathkit] Hot Carrier Diodes.

Ron,
   Isn't the original part a 1N191?  I will have some of them available next
week.  One of my suppliers has some of the Fairchild FH1100.  I won't be
able to check pricing until Monday.  I will let you know what I find.
    Is the Hot Carrier diode a big improvement over the 1N191?  I recall a
thread about this in the past but I don't remember the conclusion.  Can
anyone tell me what improvement it would give over the original parts?
