[Heathkit] HW100 transmitter alignment

I don't know about the driver adjustments but they are tricky. The coils
have to be adjusted in exactly the sequence specified in the manual
because they are wired in a series and parallel configuration.

My HW-100 built in 1970 has the same bias current characteristic. Don't
worry about it.

Yes, I always had to run the mike gain at about 3 o'clock to get
adequate drive and ALC action. There is a mod to get more drive:

Replace R202, which brings drive from V3 to V5A with a jumper or a short
piece of shielded wire. This helps a lot and it is an official Heath
mod. The resistor runs on the top between the bandpass and driver
boards, if I recall correctly.
