[Heathkit] Test equipment question

A bit off topic, but, I have an HP 410B VTVM that I use on my Heath gear
which has an annoying habit.  On the more sensitive scales, just
handling the test leads causes the meter needle to bounce all over.  I
have replaced all the leads, and cleaned the contacts where the lead
connector plugs in the bottom of the meter.   Does it in all modes and
is less severe or non-exsistent on the less sensitive scales.  Anyone
know how to correct this problem?
