[Heathkit] DX 40 problems need some ideas.

Are you using a 6146 / 6146A for the final amplifier
or a 6146B? The 6146B is NOT the same tube as the
6146 / 6146A and often causes problems like what you
are seeing. Sometimes they work, but, more often than
not, they won't work in most of the "boat anchor"
transmitters.
