[Heathkit] Heath Dip Meter

Hi All,
I used my dip meter yesterday to check out three re-wound coils in an ARC-5
and it worked very well. The dip is not as pronounced as you might expect
and as was pointed out, coupling is picky. I found that getting the dip
meter coil and the target coil parallel to one another worked best. The
other matter is that the right dip is the one that kind of "pulls" one way
or the other. That is that if you move the frequency the dip gets lower and
lower and then snaps back up. Moving the frequency the other way now puts
the dip a little on the other side of the first one but snaps back the same
way. The reading in the middle is the right one. I use a frequency counter
with mine and the results are really quite good.

Hope this helps and if I can be of further service you will allow me.
