[HCRA] Field Day 2014 and KX3 Raffle!

Just to let you all know that Field Day is just days away! We're still
looking for people to help us with setting up, operating, tearing down and
many other possible things.
Even if you don't feel like helping out, that is no problem. Come down
anyway and check it out, say hello to people and show support for HCRA.
Anyone and everyone is welcomed to stop. We hope to see you there!

We will be having 5 stations on the air using beams and wire antenna.

Setup for field day will begin on Friday, June 27th at approximately 10am
at School Street Park on School Street, Agawam MA 01030.

(Optional) There will be people meeting up to get breakfast at 8am at the
following address:

Partners Resturant
485 Springfield St.
Feeding Hills MA, 01030

We will be setting the site on the 27th and on the 28th.
Field Day will offically start at 2:00pm on the 28th and will continue
until Sunday, June 29th at 2:00pm. After 2:00pm we will start tearing down
and packing away the equipment for next year.

We also have a few things going on during field day that are of interest.

- FT-270R Raffle.

At Field Day we will be raffling off a Yaesu FT-270R VHF HT. There are 50
tickets available  for $5 a piece.
The drawing will be held at the end of Field Day (Sunday June 29th) around
2PM. You do not have to be present at the drawing but you do have to stop
by to purchase a ticket.

- VE Session

We will also be having an exam session at the Field Day site on Saturday,
June 28th at approx 5pm.
Please plan accordingly if you wish to participate.

- KX3 Raffle

That's right. HCRA's 250 raffle this time around is for an Elecraft KX3
Transceiver. We will start selling tickets at this years field day. Only
250 tickets were printed and each ticket will be $10. The drawing will
happen when either all 250 tickets are sold or during MTARA's Hamfest in
the spring of 2015.
