[HCRA] Show & Tell Winners

Hey folks, what a great meeting tonight! Wasn't it such a pleasure to share
in the accomplishments of our members? I'm always impressed at the skill,
knowledge and aptitude of our members and tonight was no exception. From
vacuum tubes to SDR radios, antenna launchers to towers, tonight's entries
really touched a lot of areas of our hobby. All projects were well executed,
displayed and presented. Most excellent!

 

Of course it was also a 'competition' of sorts and as such there will be
winners. This year we put the audience to work judging the entries, and a
good job they did! 

 

Congratulations to the following for being voted 'best in show' at this
year's Show & Tell:

 

Al, KB1XG with his portable, battery powered, multi channel audio mixer with
FM transmitter went home with an ARRL 2010 Handbook.

John, K1VOI took away an HCRA polo shirt with his nicely constructed
pneumatic antenna launcher.

Mike, KB1PKJ scored a Basic Antenna book for his built and working Rock-Mite
and keyer.

Ed, KB1NWH will be wearing a new HCRA hat the next time he works on his 40'
tower (the tower was his project).

 

But really everyone went home a winner tonight. We all learned new things,
not only about construction projects but our members abilities as well.
Sharing this information helps out everyone, fires up the imagination and
keeps HCRA vibrant and relevant in these modern times. Thank you all for
taking the time to share with your friends and fellow hams.
