There are over 1500 US FD sites this year and 32 are located in MA. If the average population of each site is ten, then there are over 15,000 of us hams participating in some capacity this year across this great U. S. of A. Are you going to be one?
The HCRA is looking for relief operators; and/or folks who would like to operate for a short while without any commitment to set-up, clean-up, or pay-up; and/or folks who would just like to know what it is all about; or just who's who!! For whatever reason, just come on down and say hi ; maybe try your hand at one of the many stations, ask any question that you might have (the combined talent at the HCRA is awesome) and become part of the 15,000 hams across the country who are going to be having fun this weekend.
So treat yourself to a little break this weekend and don't worry about the weather either. We have a large covered pavilion for food and socializing, a large gazebo for radios, and trailers of all types everywhere. It all starts at 2PM tomorrow at DuFresne Park in Granby.
I almost forgot! (Yeah! a d a r n commercial!) For a mere $5 donation, you could go home with a Yaesu FT1900 R mobile rig and an MX2 mag mount
antenna. Only
75 tickets will be sold and the drawing will be held at 2:00 PM at the
close
of Field Day, June 27th. So if you are looking for a rig, consider a ticket! But even if you do not need another rig, do come for the excitement of Field Day done "Our Way"
Hoping to see you there
