Ed,
200 feet! Is that a launcher or a cannon. Combine that cannon with the newly acquired sledge hammers and we could have a primeval re-enactment at the field. All kidding aside, Thanks for getting all of that but this year I will not be holding the stake while you swing the hammer!! ha-ha!
I am going out Wednesday a.m. to final test everything here. Building the broadside 44' doublet (Cebik) today. If you are looking for an good, interesting, and short antenna, you (all) should check this 10-40 meter antenna out. It is actually a extended double Zepp at 10 meters and Monday night my 10 meter signal reports were the best ever! I even made a 75M daytime contact in the Berkshires. It is a success at my base station. A good tuner is a must.
Is anyone bringing a macaroni salad?

Whelp, Just getting myself primed for next Saturday. Went to the Home depot and got some totes for the FD Kitchen stuff, and while there found a good deal on 6 in 1 screwdrivers. Now each tower has a socket set and a screwdriver all of its own. Swung by K1KI's and grabbed the 6 Meter beam. Made up 3 new launch balls, at 60 PSI approx 200 feet. 2 new sledge hammers (8 LB), the others were rotted and broke, the new ones have fiberglass handles and are lifetime guaranteed at Harbor Freight.
Went to the ham-fest in Newington. Met a bunch of the folks from north of the border. made some good deals, and had enough leftover for lunch.
Hey, see ya in the funnies and/or at FD 2010
