[HCRA] November Zero Beat is on the web!

Hey gang,

 

In case you missed Larry's mailing earlier today (or the dog ate it) the
November issue of Zero Beat is also on the HCRA website.

eyes on the latest edition.

 

Of special interest this month, in addition to the auction, is the Holiday
Party and the 10 Meter Contest. Both are happening in December but you need
to start planning now so you don't miss either fun event. There is an
invitation in Zero Beat that gives you all the info about the party. Most
important is to get your reservation in to HCRA before November 27th so we
can ensure you a great dining experience. This year's party promises to be
another fun time for HCRA and its members.

 

Following the Holiday Party by one weekend is the annual ARRL 10 meter
contest. This HF contest is open to all amateurs with a license, is fun,
laid back and because the band most likely won't be open during nighttime
hours you don't need to spend your entire weekend on your butt in the chair!
Last year we had a good turn out and I know we can do even better this year.

we will hear you on the air in December. I also understand a few of our
members (N0HI, KC1V?, KK1W?) may be able to open their station for a
multi-single operation. If you're new to HF then this is a good way to get
your feet wet with the help of a coach. Stay tuned for more as we get closer
to contest time!

 

And of course it is less than one week until the AUCTION! We've scored some
interesting donations and will have a lot of bargains to offer this coming
Friday. HF rigs, HT's, A/V equipment, PC and PDA's will all be there at
bargain prices. Be sure to stop by the ATM on the way, you wouldn't want to
miss a good bargain!
