NEQP is just hours away. Please read the letter from Tom Frenaye (copied
below) for all the information you will need to have fun this weekend.

Remember, if you operate NEQP you can aggregate your score with other HCRA
members for the club competition. We came in 3rd last year, maybe we can
move up a slot?

Most importantly get on the air and have fun, in the end that's what its all
about!

'73 and good luck tomorrow,

Jim, KK1W

Subject: NEQP - less than 24 hours away

Hello -

One last reminder about the 2009 New England QSO Party!

The contest starts in less than 24 hours. We received some late information
from several fixed and mobile stations about their plans and it it looks
like all 67 New England counties will be active.

Thanks for your participation in the NEQP in the past - hope you'll join in
for this year's event. There are some additional plaques being offered,
thanks to some new donors. They include a single operator low power plaque
for Canada(W1VE), single operator low power from Massachusetts(W1HIS), and
single operator low power from the W2-W3-W8-W9 call areas(K1EO). There's
at least one more also being considered.
Thanks to the INQP for sponsoring a plaque in their contest for the top
entry from New England - it should help to boost participation for both
events.

The first day will certainly have a lot of competing activity from the 7th
call area QP, the Indiana QP, and the MARAC County Hunter's QP - and maybe
from the Italian (ARI) DX Contest. That should mean there will be no lack
of stations to work - even with no sunspots (a little one is disappearing
around to the back of the sun). The 7QP and INQP won't be around on the
second day so it may be a little less crowded.

As usual, we'll have Ben & Jerry's ice cream and New England maple syrup
ready to send to US participants (non-W1) who make 150 or 250 QSOs - though
the price of maple syrup may make it the harder one to earn this year!

Good luck to everyone - and have fun!

              73 Tom/K1KI
