Hi everyone and thanks for coming out to last Friday's meeting. I'm sure
many came away with some interesting antenna ideas from W1EQO. He certainly
got me thinking!
The winner of the Tom Tom GPS in the sign-up raffle was:
Robert Guyotte, KB1BXL
I'll be contacting him today to make delivery arrangements.
The winner(s) of the shack of the year were:
Norm & Betty, W1BMK and KB1CPZ
Congratulations to both for their participation in HCRA activates!
We have our first volunteer for the "HCRA Ride Share' posted on the web.
Gary, AA1UE stepped up to offer transportation to club meetings. Are there
any others? You can simply send me an email or post on this list and I will
add you to the web site. The listing is on the main page of our site.
Next month is the annual HCRA auction. Now is the time to dust and clean
those items you want to sell. Don't put it off until November 6th - that's
not enough time! Not interested in selling? That's OK, we need buyers too!
Admission is always free and you don't need to be a club member so bring a
friend. We are looking for a few volunteers to help with table set-up and
also accounting work. Contact me if you would like to help out.
And of course today is the day for Phase II of the HCRA foxhunt. Head over
to Stanley Park in Westfield and try your hand at finding that elusive fox.
The frequency is 146.565, press 2 on your keypad to activate the fox. Don't
forget to identify as well, you want to stay legal! And please, the last
person to find the fox? Don't move it - Jim has enough to do without
becoming a fox hunter himself at the end of the day.
