Good Sunday morning to all;
This year, the HCRA is awarding a 10 meter participation award to everyone who participates, and submits their log in the 2008 10-meter contest with the HCRA as their club affiliation . The contest will be held the second full weekend of December. Starts at 0000 UTC Saturday; ends 2359 UTC Sunday (December 13 – 14, 2008). The award will be made with four endorsements. A Bronze for five Q's, Silver for 25 Q's, Gold for 50 Q's, and a Platinum for 100 Q's. Additionally, an endorsement for at least one CW contact during the contest will be added.
Rules and Basic Instructions:

And this link will take you to a simple tutorial written by our great leader KK1W

For those who would like to try a cw contact:
On Saturday, I will be operating slow speed cw on 28.275 +/- QRM (or beacons) at 09:00, & 1300, local time, and on Sunday at 1000 & 1400 local. You will notice my distinctive "K" (over) at the end of my call as I always send it slower (bad habit) with a long "Da-dit-dah". I am asking other cw ops to also donate some time for the newer cw op should I not be able to hear someone. One suggestion for those who do try is to send a 5-n-n for a signal report which is short hand for 5-9-9. Also, during these times, I will not be in a rush and if no one shows up, I will not earn any points for these times so I am looking for you,and only you!.
Call me by only sending your callsign when you hear my CQ
My response will be
your call (?? ..--.. , ..--.. if I need you to send it again)
my call
5-n-n
MA
tnx
my bad "K"
Your response would be in the same format with a better "K" than mine.
Keep close track of your times, contacts, and locations, and if you need help submitting them, there are many who will be happy to help you including everyone on the BOD.
Hope to see you this year.
73's all
