[HCRA] Field Day 2008 and the menu

Hey folks,

The Field Day menu has been posted on the website. Mosey on over to:
http://www.hcra.org/menu.htm and take a look at what will be satisfying your
taste buds come the end of June. And all at a price no higher than last
year's - good job Kathy & Jim!

Also a brief note about Field Day, the HCRA way.

First off, there is a Yahoo group dedicated specifically to HCRA's Field
Day. That list is where most of the planning for Field Day is taking place.
On that group you will find information about logging software, antennas,
meals, etc. The reason there is a separate group is to keep those postings
from going to all the members of this list (over 90 right now) many of whom
may not be interested in Field Day. You can view/join this list at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hcra-fd/.

Second, if you're new to HCRA and/or Field Day then we want you! Learn more
about Field Day by reading the information on the ARRL site:
http://www.arrl.org/contests/announcements/fd/. You can view the planning
for Field Day at HCRA by checking out: http://www.hcra.org/fd2006.htm. This
page lists where we stand to date and who has volunteered for what
positions.

Third, don't miss out on a golden opportunity to participate in an event
that epitomizes what amateur radio is all about. Getting our hobby out in
front of the public while practicing emergency preparations and having fun

Tail Gate Party - June 6th

And since I have your attention don't forget about the Tail Gate Party, June
6th at the church. Sellers pay only $5 for a spot and buyers are free! We
will have our regular meeting following the TGP with the 2008/2009 elections
as well as Field Day planning. The raffle prize for the evening will be a
Yaesu VX170 HT worth over $120. Come early to get the bargains and good luck
in the raffle. Coffee, donuts and soft drinks will also be available.
