[HCRA] Help Wanted - 40 Meter Band Captain

Oh, oh!

Just when we thought we were in good shape for band captains, at least CW
wise, it turns out that N1BAA has some commitments that will keep him from
FD this year. That's too bad for Jose because I know he was looking forward
to Field Day fun at his first HCRA Field Day.

So, is there anyone out there that would like to take a shot at 40 CW?

What HCRA can provide is housing, power, antenna and maybe logging computer.
All you need to supply is a rig and a genuine desire to have fun at Field
Day.

Housing: The KK1W pop-up. Small but comfortable. It will be delivered and
set-up for your use (please keep it clean)

Antenna: HCRA will erect a 40M Moxon (2 element wire beam) and have it ready
for connection to your rig. This antenna has performed well at many HCRA
Field Days.

Power: Generator power will be available.

Computer: We have a few available, see Ed, KB1NWH (LOGmaster!) if you need
one.

So, all you need to do is show up, hook up your rig to the antenna and start
making contacts! Can we make it any easier? And before you ask we can't pay
you! This is 'AMATEUR' radio, remember? We can promise you a lot of fun,
friends and food though!

Please contact Jim, KB1JVF if you are interested in helping out.

Thanks,

Jim, KK1W

PS: I cross posted this listing as I feel it is of interest to regular club
members as well as the confirmed Field Day participants.
