[HCRA] May meeting and other stuff...

Hey gang.

Just a reminder our May meeting is just two weeks away. Our May meeting will
be a special meeting as no other but Harold Ort the editor of Popular
Communication Magazine will be the guest speaker. This meeting will be the
perfect opportunity to bring a friend, scanner or SWL listener. Harold is
the right person to get them excited about radio and maybe even start them
down the road to becoming a ham.

A special raffle prize will be offered to go along with the meeting. A
Sangean ATS-505 SWL receiver worth $120! Imagine how excited the lucky
winner of that will be?

On other fronts, John KB1LTC is right now producing a neat HCRA code
practice oscillator kit. The kit will be part of the upcoming CW class and
also will be offered to HCRA members. Just $9.99 will get you a cute CPO
with a real brass key (well key strip), building instructions and a CD with
lots of Morse Code information. The kit should be ready for the next
meeting.

The New England QSO party starts the day after the meeting. Our club
sponsors a beautiful plaque for 'high score, Hampden County'. Wouldn't you
like to win the plaque this year. Previous winners have all been HCRA

All this followed by the Tail Gate party, elections and of course Field Day
in June and HCRA will be ending the season up in fine style.
