I would like to thank everyone for getting out early on the Labor Day
weekend and attending our first meeting. With over 70 people in attendance
it's obvious to all that HCRA is alive and well. I hope everyone enjoyed the
presentations by Tom and Dan, that you renewed or joined if you had the
chance and most of all... had fun at the meeting.

Bob, K1YO handed out material detailing how to take and report interference
measurements in the BPL test area. If you didn't attend the meeting or need
an extra copy they are available on the HCRA web site at:
http://www.hcra.org/measurement_techniques.htm. After reading the techniques
click the link to take you to the reporting form.

Have fun in the HPM/135 contest if you are so inclined. Band conditions are
pretty good. What's the HPM/135 contest? See:
http://www.arrl.org/news/stories/2004/08/26/1/ It's a fun contest, runs for
quite some time and can even be worked on repeaters. Look for KK1W/135 on
the local area repeaters over the next week.

Enjoy your Labor Day weekend - see you next month. As always, thanks for
your support of HCRA and Amateur Radio.

'73...

Jim, KK1W
