[HCRA] 36 hours to go!

Hey gang,

Only 36 hours (or less, depending on when you read this) to go to finish up
your project for this Friday's Show & Tell. Is it ready? How will you tell
the group about it? Why did you build it? You get the picture.

The gift certificates have arrived and I'm holding them in my sweaty hands
now. Hopefully Friday evening will come before I succumb to the pressure and
buy something with them!

On other subjects. This weekend is the ARRL DX-SSB contest. This is a great
contest to get some new countries on the major HF bands. You only get points
by working USA stations if you are a DX country so they will be looking for
you! The bands have been great lately so you should be able to get some new
countries in the log with just a little bit of effort. The contest starts
7:00 PM Friday evening and ends at 7:00 PM on Sunday evening. Good luck,
have fun and get them in the log.

Field Day is just around the corner have you confirmed your spot yet? HCRA
has a lot of new members from 2003 and we are trying to focus this year's FD
on making it easy for you to get on the air. What about you, are you game to
give it a try? Drop a note to Marty or Peter and start the process to find
new fun in your hobby.
