For those who wish to listen to the hurricane nets down south, check out
the VOIPWX site:
http://www.voipwx.net
You can click on the streaming audio feed
(http://live.irlp.net:8080/listen.pls) to hear the reports.
I have also connected my IRLP/EchoLink node in Holland (146.430/114.8) up
to the same feed. If you have EchoLink at home, the net control asks that
you connect to the EDU_NET (EchoLink node 77992) listen only conference so
as not to interfere with the comms in the activation area. The WX_TALK
server is getting overloaded from the number of connected nodes.
Hurricane Charley is now a Cat 4 hurricane. You can also monitor 14.325 kHz
USB for the HF Hurricane net and health and welfare traffic on 14.265 kHz USB.
