[HCRA] HF antenna

Hi Erik,

Have never used that antenna.

However based on the on-line manual, it appears to require reconfiguration 
for every band you wish to operate.
This is fine for portable/backpacking use and such.

I presume you'd rather not have to go outside in "110 degree heat" or "1+ 
inch/hour rainfall" or "3' of snow" or during a blizzard to take the 
antenna down and reconfigure it for a new band every time you want to 
change bands.

A more convenient choice would be an all-band vertical such as a Butternut 
HF-6V (80-10+30M) or HF-9V (80-16M including WARC bands) or alternately 
using a High Sierra (or similar) "Screwdriver antenna in a "fixed" mounting.

Something like the Butternut (alternately some CushCraft, Hy-Gain or 
Hustler models) can be obtained used for less than the approx $200 cost of 
the Ventena HFp.
