Dear HCRA members,
I would like to express my thanks for the donation you have made in support
of our ATV repeater system. The repeater went live Sunday the 23rd. As
you know, Chet W1HGJ and myself N1URE are a low budget operation. The
donation helped purchase the two new custom slot antennas. The antennas
were manufactured by a machine shop and are of commercial quality. They
were designed specifically for our input and output frequency. You will be
pleased to know that when we swept the antennas with a spectrum analyzer,
they were right on frequency.

I would also like to extend a special thank you to Kurt Jackson of Hampden
Communications Co. Kurt donated 400ft of 1.5 hard line and connectors. In
addition, Kurt did all of the tower work and provided us with space in the
radio room at no charge.

This will be an interesting mode for many of you. I expect us to shake out
any bugs soon and go up to full power mid July. The repeater is currently
running about 1 tenth output capacity. Please contact myself at
(413)783-3128 or [email protected] if you would like to give ATV a
try.

Please pass this on to your Ham friends that may not be part of HCRA or on
the mail list. Info on the repeater can be found at www.hcra.org Input
freq is 426.25Mhz with output on 439.25.Mhz

Thanks again,

Larry Steiner
N1URE
