Greetings All,
The first course that the HCRA has sponsored in some time is closing in
rapidly and forming up nicely! Have you ever thought of teaching an
entry class in amateur radio? I've made it real easy for people to "get
their feet wet" by the way we have arranged the teaching
responsibilities. There are 33 teaching modules. Each module focuses
on a specific topic. The topic presentation time is anywhere from 10
minutes to 45 minutes depending on the volume of material to be
presented. Each class meeting there will be anywhere from 2 to several
modules presented. Even if you wanted to do just one 10 minute
presentation, you can be accommodated. What a way to find out if
teaching is for you.
OK, so you are interested. Where do we go from here? Send me an email
that you are interested. I will give you a link to the course
instructor resources. When you go to this web site, you will see all of
the topics and the times allotted for each. You simply pick out which
topics you would like to teach and then let me know. I will put your
name in that slot. Then use the resources up on the web site to prepare
for your class presentation. It is that simple. By the way, the
resources are excellent. They were prepared by the ARRL and were
developed for use with the book "Now Your Talking". The only hard part
will be keeping your presentation within the allotted time. Most hams
are pretty gabby!!
So lets talk it up out there. Don't be bashful. Go onto the local nets
and advertise our class. Get the word out and make this a most
excellent happening, the HCRA way.
Class will meet in Chicopee
8 Mondays Consecutive
