Stan & Steve (and anyone else who's reading!)
Stan, thanks very much for offering to help get Steve up on ATV. That's
exactly the purpose of this list and as usual reflects the HCRA's members
attitude of helping each other get more fun out of their hobby. Steve may
have a shot at the repeater, but he is in Granby, MA - so it's not right
next door.
Steve, no one will ever accuse you of being afraid to experiment. Good show,
that's how we all learn. Take something apart and see how it works, that's
the fun of it all. I think what you have in your hand is the opposite of
what you need. Sounds like it will convert baseband video (like from a DVD
player or a video game) up to a frequency that can be received on an
ordinary TV receiver. Actually a small crystal controlled transmitter (or
signal generator if you like) that broadcasts on either Ch3 or Ch4. If
you're interested in FSTV, Stan is the person to talk to. He's done it for
years and will give you good advice. Keep up the good work.
And to everyone - there is a FD meeting this Friday, 4/19, 2:00 PM at the FD
site - Dufresne Park in Granby. Most of the committee members will be there
and any other interested parties are encouraged to attend. Many will be at
Dr. Deegans for lunch around noon, then head to the site from there. The
main purpose will be to roughly map out the area and determine antenna and
station location.
'73 for now,
Jim, KK1W

BY the Way were do you live? The fstv repeater in on the 147.105 repeaters

Hi Everybody,
This one is for whoever participates in FSTV.
I found a RCA Audio\Video plug to RF channel 3+4 and i looked inside, there
were 2 crystals, one labeled "CH3" and "CH4" if i replaced those w/ a 426.25
MHz crystal and maybe a 70cm Amp and a cable TV w/ a preamp for a reciever,
would that work? or does anybody have another suggestion that is easy on my
wallet?
