Hello,

I am new to the list and would like to ask the group a question regarding
the Amateur Radio station at Bear Creek Scout Ranch in Hunt. Over the past
year or so I have worked with several other hams to install a permanent
radio station at the camp. It is housed in the Astronomy Building and
consist of 30ft of Rohn tower and a JK multiband beam and 40m dipole.

I am looking for hams that are interested in working with the Scout Camp to
teach the Radio Merit Badge over summer camp sessions and possibly use the
facility for Jamboree on The Air (JOTA).

To be allowed on the camp you must be a registered Scout and take a online
"Youth Protection Course". If you would be interested in carrying on this
project please let me know and I can help get you access to the station. If
there is enough interest I could work on presenting the idea and more
information about the station and goals at an upcoming meeting.
