Subject: MAJOR CHANGE: Funeral for Billy Joe Butler, Korean War POW


Please see the changes of funeral location and where to line up on the streets in Kerrville for the procession.  Large crowds are anticipated.

 
According to today's The Kerrville Daily Times and The Hill Country Community Journal the funeral services have been changed to the First United Methodist Church, 321 Thompson Drive to accommodate the anticipated large turnout.  Overflow crowd will be seated in the fellowship hall where they can watch the service live on large screen tvs.
The remains will arrive today escorted by police, sheriff and DOT vehicles will  at approximately 1300.  The procession will exit I-10 at Sydney Baker Street to Junction Hwy. then down Junction Hwy to the Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy.  Individuals are encourage to line Junction Hwy from HEB down to Walmart from 1300-1330.  The funeral home is across from Walmart.
Visitation at the funeral home will be on 25 Jul from 1700-1900.
Services at 1000, 26 Jul at the church are expected to last 30-40 minutes followed by procession to Nichols Cemetery, 2900 Junction Hwy.
Members of the public may line Junction Hwy from the funeral home to the cemetery.  All are encouraged to wave the national colors.
