Sorry to hear about the disturbance on Tranquility.  The only thing I can think of about the high fees is that the City has been burned before by some of the clientele who have used the island before.  It's a shame that other folks have to pay for years because of the poor behavior of some of those who have gone before.
Thanks for checking into this for the club, though.

Well, it appears our desire to activate tranquility Island on the US Islands Awards Program is probably not going to happen.  WHY YOU ASK – because the City Of Kerrville, TX sees us as a CASH COW and wants to charge us a $150.00 fee with another $150.00 deposit PLUS a $30 non-refundable application fee for the privilage of using the Tranquility Island Park for an afternoon.  They indicate ANY ASSEMBLY – I guess, even a group picnic is charged the same cost.  They even said we might have to get a “Permit” from the fire Department to run a generator there.
