Meeting Minutes
4 June 2015
MEETING COMMENCEMENT
The meeting was called to order by Vice President Bob Richie (K5YB) who led us in the Pledge Of Allegiance. There were 33 members in attendance and three visitors: Steve McAnally, Kraig Hayner (N8KJF) and Starr Center (KG5HHY).
MEMBER AND GUEST RECOGNITION
Vice President Richie explained the 50/50 and gave out tickets to the guests and the following people for having helped during the past month: Barb and Pete Schuyler (N9NM, N9OF respectively) for providing goodies for the break. Gary Johnson (N5BAA) thanked a whole group of people assisting in Field Day planning – Lew King (W5LEW), Charley Robinson (AF5AO), Larry Altman (N5QGD), Frank Edwards (KK5IA), John Hughes (KF5VNB), Chuck Hopkins (N5HOP), Harvey Vordenbaum (K5HV).
The May 2015 minutes were posted and approved.
The Treasurers report was read and approved
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Repeater (Harvey K5HV) – Working
VE Testing (Fred W0LPD) – 6 people were tested and all passed. Starr Center made Extra, and Paula Mulford (KG5HRD) made Tech and General.
Red Cross Liason (Terry W0HIP) – Not Here
SKYWARN – Larry Altman (N5QED) spoke on Skywarn and our mission to support NWS. We are to report Severe Storm Conditions (.25 cents and larger hail and winds over 58 mph).
Field Day (Gary Johnson N5BAA) - ARRL Field Day will be held at OLH School. Cost is $200.00 of the $300.00 approved for Field Day.
OLD BUSINESS
None
NEW BUSINESS
A motion was made by Gary Johnson to allow Field Day to spend the unspent $100.00 on other Field Day items as needed. Motion seconded by Bob Richie and passed.
EVENTS: None
BREAK FOR REFRESHMENTS FROM Barb and Pete was suspended with people enjoying refreshments during presentation.
Monthly Program: Gary Johnson spoke on Final Field Day Preparations. Chuck Hopkins volunteered to honcho the food.
August Progam by John Heucksteadt (AC4CA) on Low Band DXing. With the sun going quiet – don’t miss this presentation.
50/50 was won by Fred Gilmore (W0LPD) 28/28 split.
