Well they are sure not "Endangered" now!! It seems there are almost as many
deer living downtown Kerrville as there are people. If deer ate grass
(which they don't do - it's why AXIS deer are invading their territory) they
wouldn't have to mow the grass at the Courthouse. I still maintain the
opinion that Whitetail deer are nothing more than overgrown RATS.

50-60 years ago deer the population was declining. That's why we have the
hunting regulations. Does were off limits for hunting. Legally, deer are
property of the state. That's why you have to have a license to hunt them.
