[HCARC] Crimped vs Soldered Coax Connectors??

I helped a friend troubleshoot a poor performing CB radio installation
(actually he watched me) and finally I traced the problem to the PL259
connector at the antenna end. It was a crimp connector done by a CB
shop and the center connector at the crimp edge flaked off a shard of
metal and would intermittently short out to ground. Crimps - not for
this guy.
