After a trip to Gale Heise’s QTH yesterday to pick up a 40 ft tower, rotater, and beam antenna, I am now the single point source for odd pieces of aluminum tubing in the south Texas area. Seriously, if you are in need of a length of aluminum tubing to make or repair an antenna please email me with what you need and I will take my tape measure and micrometer out to the pile and see if I can provide you what you need. It’s like having the almost complete “OLD HAM OPERATORS STASH”. Your cost for the part will be an appropriate (determined by you) donation to the repeater fund. Shipping is free if you pick it up or I can meet you in Kerr-Patch at the earliest opportunity.
If anyone is interested in making 2 meter vertical, beam, or 6 meter beam antennas there is probably enough aluminum in longer lengths to do that too. The antenna may not end up all that pretty, but then the cost is low too.
