Size of panel (within reason) is more a function on expected usage than on
how much the radio will draw because it is just battery emergency backup. I
do know that from MTC radio in Paris, TX we can get a 135 watt panel for
$204.00 including shipping. That panel and a couple of sets of golf cart
batteries from Costco (220 amp hour @ 6 volts each times 4 batteries to get
two 12 volt power sets) would probably power the system indefinitely without
A/C power at all. My neighbor and I are getting ready to order 3 panels
each, hopefully drop shipped from the factory (importer) for less shipping.
Not sure how many we can get shipped in one cheaper shipment though.
