[HCARC] Win 8

Lets put some parameters about what people are talking about in this
discussion of Windows 8 vs 7 vs XP.

I realize that there might be differences between them as far as computing
power, graphing, manipulation of pictures etc, but for someone who surfs the
web, maybe uses the computer to do spreadsheets, and the minutes of HCARC
Meetings as well as emails, ebay, and running Radio Logging Programs such as
N1MM or the other logging programs - IS THERE A DIFFERENCE?? I guess the
question is compare what maybe Kerry S. might do with the computer in his
job and with his electronics/engineering background and those of us who have
Microbiology or History degrees. Is there really any difference to the
AVERAGE USER??

Second - if WIN 8 is designed for a touchpad environment, wouldn't a
touchscreen monitor solve the problem??
