[HCARC] Pass Tech Exam

Congrats to both John and Josh Fotschky (previously Luttrell) both passed their Tech test this morning with I understand "FLYING COLORS".  Welcome to the Ham Radio Fraternity - may it be a long association.  Now you need to go to the ARRL website and join ARRL.  Both of you are important to Ham Radio - you are young enough to help bring down the average age of Hams which creeps older each year.

We missed you at the meeting last night, but studying was much more important.  Kits I ordered for making the 4:1 baluns are in, however the instructions on how to build a balun are largely missing - even 2 Extra Class Operators couldn't figure out what to do to make the 4:1 balun.  Kerry Sanderson for sure (and hopefully Dale Gaudier) are going to put on a Tech Corner in how to make the balun.  Be sure to come early - Tech Corner's happen the hour before the meeting.
