Volunteering for Public Service Events is a good way to:

1) Prepare for emergency situations – You will quickly learn what items to take and what items to leave behind.  Comfort is important.

2) Better understand your radio gear – You will be forced to learn how to program your radios as well as learn about and use some of the radio’s functions that you do not use at home.
