[HCARC] 2 Meter Handheld Question

Some HT Radios have the optional battery pack that will accept AA batteries.
Usually the HT will run on a lower power setting, or you end up running thru
a lot of alkaline batteries. :) But in an emergency, with no power to
recharge the normal battery, it's an option.

For my Icom HT, I bought their cigarette lighter power plug to let me charge
my HT in my car also, for those longer deployments or events.

Subject: [HCARC] 2 Meter Handheld Question

Is there a 2 meter handheld handyTalky that can use either AA or AAA
rechargeable batteries in addition to it's rechargeable pack. I have never
even held a HandyTalky so I have no idea about this - maybe they all will do
as I desire.
