On runs of 100 or more feet and VHF/UHF I use the "better stuff." I
have a 40 foot run of RG8X on a discone antenna I use for 144 and 220
megs.

I am hoping to be in Fredericksburg and Kerrville Fri-Sat depending on
the weather and plans. If you hear K5UCQ on the repeater-give a
holler!

Is there really a difference between the manufacturers or is one just about as good as another?? And for the money and probably having to make coax runs of 150 feet or so is it worth the money at all?? I guess I can't see making all the fuss about maxing out antennas and getting a good radio, etc and then using less than the best coax, assuming the cost difference isn't really nuts.
