[HCARC] General Class License Upgrade Class

As  I mentioned at the previous club meeting, I am planning on conducting a
General Class license class for interested HCARC club members with
Technician licenses.

 

The classes likely will be in January and will be run over two consecutive
Saturdays at the Red Cross. Each class will run about 5 hours, for 10 total
hours of instructional time. The goal would be to finish up the weekend
before the next VE test session on Feb. 2nd, 2013. Because of the compressed
format everyone who would attend would need to purchase a copy of the ARRL
General Class License Manual in advance and study it before coming to class.
We would use class time to go over any areas of theory or practice that are
unclear to the participants. We would also try to cover as many of the
questions from the question pool as possible and do a couple of practice
exams at the end.

attending the class so I can get a headcount. 

 

There will be no charge for the class, which will be run under the auspices
of the HCARC. Students will be responsible for purchasing the General Class
License manual. Alternatively, I can purchase the manuals for you if enough
of you are interested in this option. Just mention it in your email to me.

 

For those of you who already have General or higher licenses, let me know by
private email if you would like to help out with the instruction or
demonstrations.
