Stan  The price is all over the place OM, I do think the prices are going down tho.  I lost on two HBRs via ebay when they went for over $400.00...  I personally would be bidding a little lower then you'd think it was worth, the Eddystone dial can add 100 to the value, and of course craftsmanship adds to the price.  I've seen a couple go for less then 100 and two went for free, so as I said, the prices are all over the place.     If it does not have excellent workmanship or that eddystone dial, I'd start real low in the offering.  But that us your choice fella, if someone else is interested, that might add fuel to the flame.  I guess totally blind here, offer 50 or so, and one way if you want to avoid embarrassing situations, then just ask what's the lowest price you'd take for it.   Another valuable point, us the set of coils, if you have to buy and construct them, it can add up fast too.     I know this is vague, but right now, neither you or we have much to go on.  : )  but hope that these ideas at least help out a little.  Good luck on the purchase.   I too have one in mind, but the money has been short here for a few months.  73Bill. To all,

A lead has surfaced on an HBR-16, and I'm hoping to see pictures soon.  I
know configurations can vary, particularly with respect to the dial, as
well as the condition.  Can any of you provide any price range guesstimates
on this receiver?  I would like to make an offer that is not insulting,
doesn't hurt my piggy bank unnecessarily, and (if possible) would have both
of us happy.
