Nah, try cryogenically treated 12AX7's if you want to see some sticker shock.

The TRULY remarkable prices are for "audiophile" capacitors. It's totally moronic what is said about them, and prices to match - frightening, is that people actually PAY that for em. I think I'm in the wrong business; I should be wrapping Vishay/Sprague electrolytics in gold paint, and selling 'em by WEIGHT.TC-----Original Message-----Wow! That’s a crazy price. Prices on eBay confuse me. I can buy a quality new manufactured transformer for less than the price of a 50 year old used one on eBay. Tube prices are generally the same. I can buy a NOS tube from a reputable dealer for less than a questionable tube listed on eBay. I still buy a lot of stuff off of eBay. I just find that, when it comes to vintage electronic parts, they aren’t a place for one stop shopping. ______________________________________________________________HBR mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/hbrHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:HBR at mailman.qth.netThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
