Good morning Don,
~ Oren Elliot also makes reduction drives.

Thanks for the source! In all my searching around the web for the last two
or three years I haven't come across this one. It looks like they are the
manufacturer of the 6:1 drive that the Crystal Set Society sells, and
probably their capacitors as well.
~ Another option is the Vernier capacitors - Some of the no-name vernier
capacitors are really stiff.
~ I have a way to add a dial plate to the verniers capacitors using parts
from
a shaft coupling.
I'm always interested it mechanical ideas---do you have drawings or photos?
And, I'm not familiar with "vernier capacitors---whazzat?
~ Hope your receiver project is going well.
This pesky business of making a living---at age 75 no less!---keeps getting
in the way of my hobby (;->)...Fortunately, I enjoy my work. Now I just have
to see whether I can make any money making guitars. I did, very
un-expectedly, sell one just before Christmas, hence a small budget for ham
stuff appeared in my Christmas stocking. Got any HBR parts to sell?
Cheers,
Brian
