One more thought on bending your
own chassis for a couple of bucks,
rather then 35 on up. Dig out an
old vice grip pliers and have two maybe
4 inch peaces ofsteel angle iron welded
to the tip or end of the pliers perpendicular
to make it "T" shaped, maybe one of the
angle iron pieces could be pre-bent just
a little more, so it had an acute angle to
it, as you'd like to bend your sided just
a tad more then needed so when releaced
it will spring back to the final shape you
desire.
If you take the pliers and angle iron to
a stock car racer or builder, or a fixerupper
shop like a motorcycle shop (use your imagination)
and ask them to weld this for you, it could
hopefully end up costing you an extra 5
dollars or so and you have much of wht you
will need to bend the material you will need
for a project such as this. Guess what I'm
thinking is where there is a will there is a way.
