[HBR] Fwd: Eddystone Three Section Variable Capacitor Question

> Almost embarrassed to ask this but what are the threads for the Eddystone three section variable cap that is typically used in the HBR receiver?   I just got back from ACE Hardware and could not find a screw that matched the threads.  It seems like a #6 but the threads aren't right.  I tried both US and metric.  I was planning on mounting the variable cap to the RF sub chassis, make sure everything lines up, then drill the holes for mounting the RF sub chassis on the main chassis.

The last component arrived today, an 8 section barrier strip that mounts on the rear panel and has connections for antenna, speaker, mute, and and extra pair.  RF sub chassis is all drilled and milled.  BFO chassis left to drill.  I have a plexiglass front panel drilled and milled, the Eddystone slide rule dial mounted, and the panel mounted to the chassis.  I'm figuring another week of last mechanical work and then I can start building.
