I think you're asking HOW they're different (physically)? IF cans usually have a GOZINTA winding and a GOZOUTA winding; i.e. two tuned circuits for the same freq. BFO cans usually have a feedback winding or tap, as they're part of a very simple oscillator. At least that's MY take on it TC
