[HBR] 75khz slug tuned coil question

Greetings
    I just thought I'd share my ignorance. : )
Please explain the difference in the two types
of 75-100 Khz IFs.  For one thing they are all
slug tuned, but the BFO is denominated as different
then the others...   ???
    Think I have 3 75 khz IFs coming in the mail shortly
so I am beginning to wonder what the differences were,
and wanted to ask you guys about that.
    I am thinking of making up a wish list to mail off to
Mouser or Dan's Small parts or somewhere shortly,
as I don't seem to get to the Hamfests around here.
Always have one excuse or another.  : )  SO, second
question is where would you send off for your parts.
I've got a ton of used resistors caps etc, but am thinking
of breaking down and buying mostly new parts.  New
tube sockets too, I think I have most all the tubes but have
not dug them out yet because I am or was so far away from
the beginning of the build, now I think I am getting close,
with those IFs coming my way.
    One last question, anyone have those parts laying around
you'd want to part with? IF you do, please let me know what
you'd want for them.
