Hi Scott,
After acquiring ever narrower passband machines for CW operation I found
there is such a thing as "too narrow". If we can get single signal
reception - as with an SSB bandwidth filter or thereabouts there are
some audio tricks that can help pry the wanted signals from the
unwanted. That's not even mentioning the gray filter we have between our
ears.
I often listen (casual operation) with a 10 kc bandwidth and sometimes
even more with the BFO near the middle of the passband so that the audio
images can be heard (and taken advantage of).
