[HBR] Swapping IF and 1st osc frequencies

Hello to all:

Currently, the frequency set up of your average HBR is that the 1st IF is
around 1600-1650 kcs while the 1st oscillator is around 1700 kcs.  The
difference is within a band of differences between 85 -100 kcs for the 2nd
IF.  Would it be possible to do a "switcherooni" with the IF frequency set
at 1700 kcs and the 1st oscillator to be at 1600 kcs, the difference being,
of course, 100 kcs?   That should help address my earlier concern of placing
the AM band at the first IF.  Also,  I have a 1600 kcs xtal and discussions
with me and a friend stated that there shouldn't be any problems but just
the same, in case I am overlooking something, please advise.  Thanks. Cal,
